At Fruselva Global, we proudly celebrate the inauguration of our new production plant in the Maule Region (Chile) — a project that marks a decisive step forward in our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local development. This facility, the largest of its kind in Latin America and the first exporter in its category, positions Maule as a major agro-industrial and export hub on a global scale.
With an investment of 40 million dollars, our new plant currently generates 600 direct jobs throughout the year, and we expect to exceed 1,000 positions by 2030, strengthening the local economy and creating sustainable opportunities for the community. Since our arrival in Chile, we have already invested more than 70 million dollars and plan to invest an additional 60 million over the next four years — reaffirming our confidence in the region’s potential.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent Chilean and Spanish authorities, including Chile’s Minister of Agriculture, Ignacia Fernández, Presidential Delegate Humberto Aqueveque, Regional Governor Pedro Álvarez-Salamanca, and Spain’s Ambassador to Chile, Laura Oroz. During the event, Fruselva’s role as a driver of regional development was highlighted — promoting female employment, technological innovation, and sustainability.
Our president and founder, Xavier Martínez i Serra, stated:
“We are very happy to continue investing in Chile, a country that has been fundamental to our international growth. The Maule Region offers us a unique agricultural and human ecosystem that we want to continue enhancing through innovation, employment, and sustainable development. This new plant is a reflection of our trust in the region and its people.”
A plant with identity and purpose
This new 130,000 m² facility, including 25,000 m² of covered space and 23,000 m² dedicated to production, is defined by its strong commitment to sustainability, technological innovation, and employee well-being. It operates with full energy autonomy through a photovoltaic plant and self-consumption systems, and prioritizes quality of life for workers by offering childcare services, lactation rooms, free meals, transportation, and medical insurance.
The plant integrates two production lines that allow the manufacturing of both conventional foods and specialized products — with allergens, probiotics, vitamins, and proteins — under the highest food safety standards. As a result, Fruselva becomes the first baby food co-manufacturer capable of providing safe solutions for the introduction of allergens into children’s diets.
Our responsible water management using MBR technology places this plant among the cleanest in the industry, while 4,500 hours of annual training help strengthen the talent and innovation of our team.
A business model with positive impact
As a B Corp-certified company, Fruselva Global reaffirms its commitment to a business model that combines profitability, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability, aligned with ESG principles. We hold international certifications such as BRCGS AA, SMETA/Sedex, Kosher, Halal, Clean Label, Plant-Based, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and Biodynamic (Demeter), ensuring the quality and traceability of our products in markets around the world.
With this new plant, we reinforce our mission to transform agricultural production into healthy, sustainable, and high-value-added baby foods, driving the development of the Maule Region and projecting from Chile our vision of a more conscious and global approach to nutrition.
