This Friday, February 28, Fruselva participated in the “Sustainability challenges” conference, organized by Diari de Tarragona in the Tabaris building in Coma-ruga. Víctor Rubio, head of Fruselva’s Strategy and Innovation, was present at the first round table of the day to discuss the role of B Corp companies in the transition towards a more sustainable and responsible economic model. Rubio was accompanied by Vanessa Rodríguez, responsible for PortAventura World’s Sustainability.
During the round table, the current requirements to achieve business growth aligned with environmental protection and emissions reduction were highlighted. Fruselva, as one of the five B Corp companies in the demarcation of Tarragona, is positioned as a benchmark in this area.
In November 2024, Fruselva obtained B Corp certification in six countries: Spain, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, USA and Canada. This accreditation recognizes companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, as well as transparency and legal responsibility.
In this sense, Diari de Tarragona has published a special on sustainability, with a prominent role of Fruselva in the report on B Corp companies. Javier Hernández, CEO of Fruselva, highlights in the article that “becoming a B Corp company has been a fundamental step in consolidating our commitment to a business model that generates positive impact. We not only want to grow as a company, but to do so in a responsible way, contributing value to society and the environment. We believe that the business world must play a key role in global challenges and we want to be part of this transformation”.
