Last Wednesday 22nd March, Global Fruselva participated in the closing ceremony of the Predimed Plus Project, coordinated by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) with the aim of demonstrating that a lifestyle based on a low-calorie Mediterranean diet together with the practice of physical activity, improves the quality of life.
Predimed Plus is the largest study in relation to lifestyles and eating habits at national level in Spain, which is coordinated by the Human Nutrition Unit of the URV through the research group Food, Nutrition, Development and Mental Health, which since 2013, has monitored more than 6,800 people, in addition to having the participation of more than 23 Research Centres and more than 300 researchers.
Global Fruselva, as a signatory of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations and as a company committed to food welfare worldwide, has supported and sponsored the initiative by providing the healthiest foods from the Mediterranean diet as a sign of support for the study, in addition to having the assistance of Dr. Guillermo Mena, Director of R+D+I at Global Fruselva.
Global Fruselva is currently involved in the presentation of six research projects focused on the production of foods based on the Mediterranean diet and functional recipes that improve the quality of life of the population in collaboration with other leading companies in the sector, as well as renowned European and Latin American Research Centres and Universities.
