On May 27 and 28, Fruselva participated in Expo FoodTech – Food 4 Future 2026, one of Europe’s leading events for the food industry, held in Bilbao, Spain. Every year, the exhibition brings together thousands of professionals, technology companies, manufacturers, research centers, and industry experts to share knowledge and discover the latest innovations shaping the future of food.

Food 4 Future – Expo FoodTech has established itself as the leading meeting point for exploring cutting-edge trends in automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, digitalization, packaging, logistics, and sustainability applied to the food industry. Throughout the two-day event, attendees have the opportunity to take part in conferences, debates, keynote sessions, and networking activities focused on addressing the industry’s main challenges and opportunities.

Fruselva’s presence at this year’s edition allowed the company to gain first-hand insights into the latest developments, exchange experiences with industry professionals, and continue exploring new opportunities to drive the development of innovative food solutions tailored to evolving consumer needs.

In addition to participating in the congress activities, Fruselva was also present at the MaserGrup VIP Lounge, an exclusive space shared with its sister companies and brands Costa Drinks and Miró Vermouth. This meeting point provided an excellent environment to welcome customers, partners, and industry professionals, strengthen business relationships, and showcase the projects and initiatives being developed across the group.

One of the highlights of the event was the FoodTech Innovation Awards 2026, which recognize the most innovative and transformative projects within the food industry. In this edition, Fruselva achieved second place in the AWARD HEALTHY FOOD category thanks to its IMMUNEKIDS project carried out with the TECNALIA research center.

The IMMUNEKIDS product range was developed as part of a project focused on creating functional food products for children during the complementary feeding stage. The main objective of the initiative is to support the development of children’s immune systems through safe, stable products designed to meet the highest quality standards in the food industry.

To achieve this, the products incorporate postbiotics and parabiotics derived from probiotic strains selected for their strong scientific evidence and anti-inflammatory properties. The project covered every stage of development, from defining technical requirements to creating safe, stable, and industrially viable prototypes.

This recognition highlights Fruselva’s commitment to innovation, research, and the development of nutritional solutions that provide real benefits from the earliest stages of life, reinforcing the company’s position as an international benchmark in baby food and functional nutrition.
