– Fruselva, with the energy community of Reus that will invest 4.4 million in the installation of photovoltaic panels
At Global Fruselva we continue to take steps towards a more sustainable society and fulfill our commitments with the 2030 Agenda of the UN Global Compact. On this occasion, and as a company linked to the Masergrup industrial group, we participated in the Agro-Reus industrial estate energy community project consisting of the installation of solar panels that generate green energy for all the companies in the consortium.
Recently, the project has been approved by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, through Next Generation Funds, which will invest 4.4 million euros in the installation of photovoltaic panels with a subsidy of 2 million euros.
Through Masergrup, as one of the founding members of the community, we participate with the Reus City Council and other companies by providing the roof of industrial buildings for the installation of solar panels. In total, the industrial group cedes the roof of 15 warehouses -of the total of 22 included in the project- in the Reus industrial estate with 22,106 square meters and a planned generation of 2,900MWh.
The purpose of the community is that, through the installation of photovoltaic plates, self-consumption is generated through renewable energy sources for the companies of the estate and with the capacity to sell the surplus of the products to a local and public energy distribution company. . The project is the first in Catalonia and the fifth in the entire State (in investment volume) approved by the Ministry.
